Tesla’s first second hand-car deal, with Hyundai, is expected to close in the second quarter of this year.
The deal includes two Model S cars with a price tag of $69,990.
The deal with Hyundai will be the second with an electric car maker, following the $80,000 Tesla-made EV, which is due to go on sale in 2019.
“It will give our consumers access to the best in electric cars, including Tesla’s flagship Model S, as well as a number of electric vehicles from other car manufacturers,” said Jason Maestas, Tesla’s chief executive.
“As the Model S and the other EVs have the best technology, we are looking forward to working with Hyundai on a long-term relationship to offer our customers the best value for their investment.”
Mr Maestos said that the two companies would also work together to provide a more sustainable and secure electric vehicle platform.
“With the two of us working together on the first Model S car, we can deliver the best electric car experience to our customers while continuing to deliver the highest-quality battery technology and charging technology,” he said.
The second deal with Tesla, which will go on the Tesla website, will be an all-electric vehicle with an estimated range of 300km, with an initial price of $79,995.
The two cars, which are both equipped with an 80 kWh battery pack, will come with a range of 310km.
The first Model X, which was unveiled in late 2017, is also expected to go into production this year and is expected by many analysts to sell for around $200,000.
The Tesla-built Model X crossover will be powered by an 80kWh battery, with the option to upgrade the vehicle with a 100kWh pack for $2,000 more.
The car will go into limited production in 2018.
Tesla said that its second hand market would be similar to its first.
“For us, we will be focused on two key segments: first hand and second hand.
In the second hand, we see the Tesla Model X as the next-generation of the Tesla portfolio and are excited to introduce a new level of performance and value for our customers,” Mr Maestias said.
