The U.S. electric carmaker Tesla Motors on Wednesday said it has extended the guarantee of second hand-priced electric vehicles at the cost of $2,500.
Tesla said the guarantee will extend through December 2020.
The company is currently negotiating a long-term supply contract with an OEM supplier that will guarantee a second-hand price of $3,000 for the Model S sedan and Model X SUV, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The second- and third-hand prices are expected to vary, depending on the specific vehicle.
Tesla announced earlier this year that it plans to begin offering second-handed cars in 2019.
