CARFAX, N.Y. — Tesla Motors is a second-handed car maker with a promise that it can guarantee second-hairs prices to its customers, the company announced Tuesday.

Tesla’s first-hand-dealership business, with sales in the United States of more than 200,000 vehicles annually, is part of a larger business of Tesla Cars and Autopilot.

In China, Tesla Motors is also the second-largest carmaker in the country with a market capitalization of more in excess of $2.2 billion, according to Bloomberg data.

Tesla says it has more than 1,500 employees in China and plans to increase that to 1,600.
